Single Devotion: Meets Sunday October 11! If you are single and over 40-years-young and looking for a place to fit in with others in your season of life, we’d love to have you join us for a Single Devotion Lunch Bunch. Visitors are welcome and no reservation is needed. We meet the 2nd Sunday of every month, immediately following 3rd service, at the Downingtown Country Club Seven Tap Tavern (behind Wegmans). Collecting for the Homeless: Please consider donating men’s pants (sizes 29-36) underwear, jackets, socks, hats, gloves, baby wipes and other toiletries. We will be helping a team ministering to homeless folks in Lancaster. Please put donations in the marked bin in Fellowship Hall.
Election & Voter Information: On this year’s ballot are PA Governor, Representative in Congress and state senators and representatives. To register to vote or apply for a mail-in ballot visit: vote.pa.gov. Remember to vote your values! For an online voter guide, visit: PAFamilyVoter.com. Remember these key election dates:
- General Election is on Tuesday, November 3
- Voter Registration Deadline is Monday
- Mail-in Ballot Application Deadline is Monday, October 27
Emmanuel Cancer Support Group: Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month for support, prayer, and encouragement at 1:00 pm in the Nursing Mom’s Room. This group is open to those who have been diagnosed with cancer, their caregivers, spouse, and/or family members. For more information, contact Sara Ashworth at sararnstar@yahoo.com.
Men’s Cancer Support Group: Meets every other Saturday from 6:30-8:30pm in Room 105. This group has formed for the sole purpose of addressing concerns unique to men navigating through this diagnosis. Next meeting is October 10. Contact the church office for more information.
Naomi’s Sisters: We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary! Women who have lost their husbands are invited to join us for a High Tea Luncheon on Saturday, October 24, at Noon in Fellowship Hall. We will gather to celebrate 10 years of blessings and friendships with Naomi’s Sisters. We encourage you to wear a hat or fascinator, but it is optional. This gathering is open to all widowed ladies in the church, including past and present attendees, as well as those who never attended a Naomi’s Sisters event. Pre-registration is required by October 14 (no walk-ins please) and RSVP by calling the church office at 610-524-5338.
Israel Tour 2027: Once you have visited the Holy Land, you will never read the Bible the same way again! Pastor Chris will be leading an Israel Tour from August 31-September 10, 2027.
